Ways to Give

There are many ways that individuals and companies can get involved with the ‘StareheFuture’ Appeal. The easiest and most direct way, of course, is to make a donation.

Another easy way to support us is through payroll giving via the ‘Give As You Earn’ scheme.

In addition to donations, companies may help in other ways too.

You may also wish to consider a legacy to ‘StareheFuture’ by making a bequest to us in your Will.

Remember, if you are a UK tax payer you can make your gift go further by completing a gift-aid form.

Your support will help ensure a future for children like Agnes and Duncan. You may either contribute to the Griffin Fund or you may prefer your funds to be directed to one of the desperately needed capital projects.

To make a donation please send a cheque made payable to Starehe UK to StareheFuture Appeal, Shell Centre, York Road, London SE1 7NA.

UK taxpayers can increase the value of their donation to the Appeal by completing a gift aid form. This enables us to claim back income tax already paid. Have a look at our gift calculator to see how much your donation would be worth to the Appeal – and also, how much you might be able to reclaim, if you are a higher rate taxpayer!

Companies

The ‘StareheFuture ‘Appeal welcomes donations from corporate organisations and would be delighted to discuss partnership opportunities bespoke to your company.

Why not support us in one of the following ways?

• Make a corporate donation – Invest in the ‘StareheFuture’ Appeal and help overcome disadvantage and poverty in Kenya through education. Don’t forget that as a registered company, you will be able to claim back the tax on any donation made to us.

• Sponsor an event – we are holding a number of exclusive events over the next two and a half years to help raise the profile of our campaign with some of the UK’s most high profile individuals. By sponsoring one of these events, you too could raise your profile. Sponsorship packages can be discussed on a bespoke basis, according to your objectives.

• Employee fundraising and payroll giving – why not set aside one day in your business calendar this year to hold a fundraising event for us with a Kenyan theme? Choose the ‘StareheFuture’ Appeal to benefit from your annual staff dinner or promote payroll giving to your staff.

• Give a gift-in-kind – Follow Shell's lead by supporting the Appeal with a gift-in-kind of auction prizes and hospitality for events, IT equipment and installation for the schools - or even a fully kitted out school bus!
