Malin Rosenkvist - Appeal Coordinator
Prior to her work with StareheFuture Malin worked as a fundraising and events consultant for charities such as Able Child Africa, Uganda Society for Disabled Children and Santa Maria Foundation. She has organized an array of high profile events from Investment Forums in Whitehall to After Parties to the Brit Awards.
She was born and brought up on the Swedish country side. Having lived and worked in Uganda she has a strong connection to East Africa. In 2010-2011 she set up and project managed surgery camps for disabled children in Jinja, Uganda.
Malin is passionate about international politics especially in relation to East Africa and she has an honors degree in Politics and Development Studies from School of Oriental and African Studies. She also has a degree in Performing Arts and before moving into the international development sector she worked as an actor on stage and film.

Helen Varma – Consultant
Born and raised in East Africa, Helen Varma has a long-founded personal interest in the development of Kenya. Her connection with Starehe goes back to 1996 when she was invited to lead the first UK-based fundraising campaign for the Boys’ Centre; the highly successful ‘Aim High Appeal’.
Helen has over 18 years’ fundraising experience; five of which she spent with Save the Children, where her talents as a Corporate Fundraising Manager were first recognised by Starehe UK. Helen has spent the last ten years as a Fundraising Consultant, working for a wide variety of clients, including renowned charitable organisations such as Cass Business School, the British Library, NACRO and Help the Hospices, as well as smaller, developing charities such as Starehe UK.
